TulpamancyBlog is all about Tulpamancy and its inner workings. This site will provide the needed information to learn about Tulpamancy, to create a Tulpa, to...

If what's written in there is accurate, that's a bit hard to believe

I especially don't believe the part about permanent switching, since I do that myself and I'm not hallucinating or abusing drugs yet

I think the good answer here would be: we don't know for sure. But his story seems suspicious to me.

Indeed, it's a bit fanciful(edited)

His first posts on his blog seem really childish in a way
I let her chat a lot with others. To be honest I think she was forced by our friends from the chat more than by me. And she was jealous of older tulpas ability to possess. It didn't took us long to learn it.
We used to think we could do that (live in wonderland) because people we were close to made us think that was possible. Eventually we came to our senses and realized it was all just us deluding ourselves with false memories.(edited)
I mean, to be honest, it very well may be possible

Luna\ same with me, Apollo. I behaved like we had a WL and we lived there for a long time. Until host noticed some inconsistencies in our behaviour and instead of dropping the topic forced me to admit I was lying
Yeah, I think it’s possible to switch without possession. That’s what we did. We’ve been able to possess for a long time, even before we discovered tulpamancy, but it has always been and still occurs in short bursts.
We learned to switch without doing possession. I want to say we only messed with possession for a single day after learning to switch, hence our first impression being a strong distaste for it.

I don't think they're very much related at all. Knowing possession could make learning switching harder if you're convinced they are similar.
Uhm. We're not qualified to talk about personal experience with possession, just so you know. We've read tons of accounts, but our own was only a short period on a single day of messing with it.

The general description we tell people though (and why we prefer switching) is: "Switching is just being the person controlling the body - same as the host felt, but it's you. Possession feels like reaching over your host to do anything and everything, or like sitting on top of them to drive a car."
4:25 AM
I'm sure people more experienced/proficient at possession aren't as uncomfortable as we were, though.

The little experimentation we did do was just out of curiosity though. We see no downsides and plenty of upsides to switching instead. Hence why I say we're not qualified to talk about how possession feels, as it may feel much more natural after a lot of practice.
We're also rather knowledgeable on the entire tulpa phenomenon as a whole. Our own individual experience is not the most important thing we have to offer.(edited)
